Description
Under general supervision, performs a variety of clerical and general office assistance duties in a department of Town government. Is responsible for application of departmental policies, procedures, rules and regulations to routine and repetitive work. Reports to division supervisor or department Director.
Minimum Requirements (Must meet by the closing date of the posting unless otherwise stated)
- Graduation from High School or equivalent.
- Clerical Experience.
Applicants for this position must not have:
- Felony convictions;
- Steroid usage within three (3) years of the date of this application;
- Visible tattoos above the collarbone on the neck, face, head, scalp or on the hands;
- Used any illegal controlled substances within three (3) years of the date of this application with the exception of marijuana.

Special Requirements
Essential Functions
- Incumbent must possess the ability to comprehend technical assignments related to Town of Davie Code of Ordinances and Florida Statutes.
- Administrative functions are performed in support of Code Compliance Clerical duties include but are not limited to the preparation of mailings for Code cases, Magistrate cases and agenda; fulfills lien searches and public records requests, public records management of complaints, notices and all record retention.
- Position requires interaction with the general public and delivery of effective customer service.
- May attend special magistrate hearings as back up for board secretary and assist with document preparation post-meeting.
