About the Position:
The Town of Dennis is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Town Operations Assistant to assist in the daily operations of our facilities. This role is responsible for performing various tasks, including cleaning, maintenance, and repairs, to ensure the upkeep of our properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general custodial duties, including cleaning restrooms, washing and buffing floors, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning windows, emptying trash, etc.
- Follow and incorporate good infection control practices in daily cleaning duties.
- Perform routine maintenance and service to cleaning equipment, buildings or grounds.
- Perform basic grounds keeping and other exterior property maintenance duties.
- Required to participate in snow and ice operations and other weather-related emergencies.
- Supports town civic functions as required (IE voting, special events).
- May be required to be on call 24 hours.
- Performs assignments utilizing proper safety precautions in accordance with established procedures and policies.
- Ability to interact with employees and the general public in a courteous, helpful, and respectful manner.
- Communicates to supervisor problems regarding personnel, equipment, or ability to complete assignments.
- Required to work in all weather conditions.
