The Town of East Bridgewater seeks qualified applicants for the full-time position of Assistant Town Accountant. The Assistant Town Accountant is responsible for assisting the Town Accountant with accounting and related administrative issues, including processing accounts payable, withholding payments, and maintaining financial records. Performs all other related work as required. Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to work independently and possess effective customer service and communication skills.
Qualifications include an associate degree in accounting or a related field, and 3 to 5 years of related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and experience. Additional training or certification toward Certified Municipal Accountant preferred.
This is a full-time, non-union position that falls under the Statutory Assistant pay grid. The current hourly rate is $34.17 with benefits.
