Performs duties related to the operations of the Community Activity Center front desk – to include greeting guests, registration, answering phones, addressing guest questions, assisting in room/gym set ups, stocking, cleaning, and enforcing Community Activity Center rules and regulations.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Front Desk Staff Duties and ResponsibilitiesGreets Community Activity Center guests, answers questions regarding the Community Activity Center and/or the Town of Flower Mound, answers phone, and provides excellent customer service.Registers participants for classes.Sells Community Activity Center memberships and programs. This includes handling credit card transactions, receiving cash, and counting correct change.Provides tours of the Community Activity Center.Checks out gym and game equipment to guests.Performs miscellaneous administrative tasks to include filing, organizing, inventory, etc.Additional Staff Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupports other areas of the Community Activity Center by assisting with special events, aquatic programs, and facility rentals/coverage.Attends mandatory training and in-service meetings.Informs supervisor of all work-related activities.Adheres to the personnel, safety, and divisional policies of the Town of Flower Mound.Assists co-workers and other divisions as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES: Must have excellent leadership, organizational, and communicative skills, both oral and written.Computer proficiency is required.Must maintain an effective and pleasant working relationship with citizens, the general public, employees, and volunteers.Must be able to work various hours, including evenings and weekends as required.PHYSICAL ABILITIES: The physical abilities described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.* Must be able to talk, see, hear, read, and work in adverse environmental conditions.Must be able to perform strenuous physical activities to include running, kneeling, bending, twisting, dragging, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. of various recreational and athletic equipment.* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.HIPAA COMPLIANCE STATEMENT: All employees who have access to health information whose confidentiality is protected by the HIPAA Privacy Rule must have an understanding and knowledge of the Privacy Rule that corresponds to their job responsibilities.
