Summary
The Town of Gorham’s Recreation Department is seeking energetic, patient and fun-loving individuals interested in being a Summer Camp Field Trip Counselor during the months of June through August. This is a seasonal position averaging 10 – 30 hours per week.
Field Trip Counselors assist Camp Counselors in maintaining the safety and well-being of campers at all times while on field trips, especially during aquatic activities. Duties include actively participating with campers in camp activities, helping ensure campers are accounted for at all times, and encouraging camper involvement in activities. Field Trip Counselors act as positive role models to campers and help Camp Counselors provide a safe, healthy, and fun experience for camp program participants. Pay starts at $15.75 per hour, but candidates with current CPR/First Aid certification and/or Lifeguard certification are eligible for additional compensation.
Qualifications
Must enjoy working with children. Prior experience with children preferred.
