Qualifications
High School Diploma; college coursework in recreation or sports management preferred; Plus one year of work experience in recreation programming, coaching, or related field.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of general customer service principles and practices.
Proven knowledge of safety protocols relating to recreation activities.
Demonstrated proficiency in the operation of a personal computer and the use of financial accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
Proven verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to independently resolve problems.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
Demonstrated ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the general public and colleagues.
Valid Driver's License.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in the planning, development, and implementation of recreation programs, events, and activities for various age groups and interests.
Organizes team rosters, assists with tracking inventory and ordering supplies.
Creates meeting agendas and schedules.
Provides customer service to program participants, addressing inquiries, feedback, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Assists with planning and execution of special events.
Provides on-site operational support at special events, such as concerts, fireworks, festivals, holiday events, and races.
Creates promotional materials for recreational programs and events via flyers, social media, and community outreach.
Maintains records of participants and rosters; tracks attendance; compiles feedback and data on program success.
Performs related work as needed.
Supplemental Information
All positions may be subject to an interview process. The Town reserves the right to limit the number of qualified candidates who will be invited to participate in the examination, or any part thereof.
All outside candidates will be required to undertake and successfully pass a pre-employment medical examination, which includes a substance abuse test that includes testing for THC (the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana), given at the Town's expense prior to employment if conditionally offered a part time, full time or safety sensitive position.
