What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Site Supervisor - Kamp Kairphree position at Town of Greenwich?
The focus of the Site Supervisor is to assist the Director and Assistant Director with the oversight of Kamp Kairphree while they are attending to other duties. Additional responsibilities of the Site Supervisor include, but are not limited to:
Participates in pre-season staff training.
Ability to plan and lead on-site camp activities, games and crafts.
Able to make responsible decisions and judgments in the Directors absence.
Notifies the Directors immediately of any accidents or incidents and provides requested information and documentation.
Executes all emergency plans and procedures with the safety of campers as the first concern.
Receives and follows through with tasks given by the Directors in a timely manner.
Ensures that camp site locations, equipment, and facilities are organized and clean each day.
Assists the Directors in creating a daily schedule and implementation of the schedule.
Communicates respectfully, consistently, and effectively with campers and staff.
Assists with camp wrap up and bringing equipment back to storage locations.
Season: Weekdays starting at the end of June through mid-August (7-weeks)
Hours: 8:45 a.m. – 4 p.m., Approximately 35 hours/week
Must be at least 21 years of age and possess at least 16 weeks of prior Camp Counselor experience gained in an organized camp setting. Must possess the proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently with staff, parents, and participants. Must possess or obtain First Aid and CPR/AED certification. Subject to a background check.
Salary : $17 - $19
