What are the responsibilities and job description for the Skate Park Coordinator position at Town of Greenwich?
Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Skate Park Coordinator assists with hiring, training, scheduling and supervising the part time skate attendants, guards and instructors.
Must be at least 21 years of age, enjoy working with the public and be able to relate to and understand teens. Demonstrated knowledge of skateboarding is required. Background check required.
CPR and First Aid Certification required.
Assists with the scheduling of Skate Park programs including, but not limited to, birthday parties, lessons, and camps.CPR and First Aid Certification required.
Accounts for receipts that are received on a daily basis.
Ensures that skate attendants, guards and instructional shifts are covered at all times.
Trains skate guards and instructors on Skate Park policies and procedures as established by the Department of Parks and Recreation.
Keeps records of skate guard and instructor first aid and CPR certification.
Ensures that all certifications are up to date.
Plans, schedules and advertises programs at the Park.
Meets regularly with Recreation Supervisor to review and discuss any issues related to the Skate Park.
Holds regular scheduled meetings to discuss issues.
Ensures Park is inspected daily for safety, making sure trash is picked up and that there are no obstacles or hazards on equipment.
Ensures equipment is in good working order.
Reports any equipment that needs repair to the Recreation Supervisor and closes off that equipment until repaired.
Maintains records and reports that are required by the Department of Parks and Recreation.
Reviews all accident reports with the Recreation Supervisor.
Performs all other related duties as assigned.
