Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews Medicaid reimbursements for compliance with federal guidelines and stays current on guidelines changes, including enhanced maintenance of up-to-date roster of special education service providers and eligible student participants in the Connecticut Medicaid SBCH program.
Records Medicaid payments and revenue receipts.
Coordinates with the Finance Department on behalf of the SESS team regarding contract payments, journal vouchers, grant receipts and other financial transactions
Authorizes payments to service providers in accordance with service contract provisions.
Identifies payment discrepancies, making recommendations for resolution.
Authorizes payments to service providers in accordance with service contract provisions.
Manages all purchase orders for the division and coordinates the order and delivery of all SESS supplies and equipment.
Assists with the preparation of state and federal grant applications, with responsibility for day-to-day administration of all SESS grants.
Coordinates the compilation of required documentation for settlement agreements for students with out-of-district placements.
Processes tuition payments for out-of-district placements.
Coordinates the participation of other Town departments in the process of contracting with outside providers for services such as Independent Educational Evaluations and in-home support for families.
Coordinates timekeeping and serves as the primary liaison with other Town departments on all SESS special pays and employee programs.
Responds to inquiries from parents and other stakeholders.
Supports District and Town policies and philosophies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.All positions may be subject to an interview process. The Town reserves the right to limit the number of qualified candidates who will be invited to participate in the examination, or any part thereof.
