Program Coordinator for Youth Development

Job Overview

The Town of Hanover, NH is seeking a Program Coordinator for Youth Development to provide instruction and support for participants in the Kids After School Time Program. This role requires strong leadership skills, creativity, and the ability to engage with children effectively.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and lead activities and programming for children, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
• Maintain accurate records of program activities, supplies, and participant data.
• Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement program policies and procedures.
• Respond to behavioral issues and provide guidance on conflict resolution.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Perform related duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Experience working with children, preferably in an after-school program setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with higher education.
• Familiarity with first-aid principles and emergency procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of local community resources and partnerships.
• Proficiency in using software programs for program management and record-keeping.
• Ability to plan and organize events, including setup and execution.
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

This is a part-time position that does not include benefits.
