What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Grounds Crew Worker position at Town of Hanover?
This position is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of town landscaping, grounds, trees, trails, cemeteries, parks, athletic fields and facilities on either a part-time or seasonal basis.
Major Job Duties
- Assists in collecting and removing trash, litter, leaves and debris.
- Assists in planting, fertilizing, pruning and removing town trees.
- Assists in maintaining town landscaping and grounds; mows grass.
- Assists in the maintaining town cemeteries, helps prepare burial sites and place grave markers. burial sites; places grave markers.
- Assists in turf maintenance operations.
- Assists with facilities maintenance as assigned.
- Helps with installation of decorations and banners.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and perform basic math calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent.
- Sufficient experience to perform all major job duties, commonly associated with one or more years of relevant experience, which may include completion of an apprenticeship or internship.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a driver's license valid in the State of New Hampshire for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
