Job Overview

The Town of Huntington MA is seeking a part-time Water and Sewer Administrative Coordinator for 18 hours per week. Hours are flexible but must be worked during the regular Water and Sewer department hours of Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to assist the Water and Sewer Department as needed. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clerical skills and have a passion for providing exceptional customer service. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our office environment, supporting staff, and enhancing overall productivity. Proficiency in phone systems and office management is crucial, along with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Duties

  • Manage incoming calls and direct them to appropriate personnel while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
  • Provide clerical support including filing, data entry, and document management.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments and managing calendars for team members.
  • Serve as a personal assistant to senior staff, handling various administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintain organized office systems to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Communicate effectively with customer and colleagues, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Support the preparation of reports, and other documents as required.
  • Handle correspondence and maintain communication with external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients and team members.
  • Familiarity with phone systems and office equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
