What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Day Camp Counselor position at Town of Lisbon?
The Town of Lisbon’s Parks and Recreation Department is seeking applicants who are creative, energetic, caring, and responsible to work 20-40 hours per week in a seven-week seasonal summer day camp program. The program consists of children who are entering K-8th grade. Applicants are responsible for the supervision and planning of on and off-site activities. Individuals are required to be available from June to August between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Mandatory training will be required prior to the first official day of camp.
REQUIREMENTS OF WORK
· Ability to communicate with children, staff, and parents effectively.
· Basic knowledge of children’s developmental needs.
· First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification.
This is a seasonal position and hourly wage will be $15.00 and up based on experience
Mandatory training will be required to attend: Week of June 17th, 8 am-4 pm
