Job Title: Site Coordinator for the Manchester-by-the-Sea Hornet’s After School Program
Hours: 30 hours per week – Benefits eligible
Summary:
The Site Coordinator is responsible for the direct management, administration, supervision, planning, and direction of the EEC-licensed Hornet’s After School Program. This role includes developing a comprehensive program of recreational activities, educational opportunities, and learning experiences that are fun and engaging for children. The Site Coordinator will work closely with staff, children, and parents/guardians to ensure a successful program.
Essential Functions:
- Administer, plan, and implement the program.
- Provide an innovative and adventurous program for all children.
- Supervise and lead program staff, fostering a team-oriented environment.
- Coordinate enrollment requirements and maintain accurate records of youth participants.
- Plan, order, and track program materials, including snacks, supplies, and equipment.
- Assist the Program Director in organizing team meetings and training sessions.
- Develop and post weekly activity schedules and snack menus with staff input.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, including state and local regulations.
- Perform related tasks as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 20 years old and meet one of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (e.g., Child Development, Education, Recreation) with six months of verifiable experience working with school-age children.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field or an associate degree in relevant fields with nine months of verifiable experience working with school-age children.
- High school diploma or equivalent with one year of verifiable experience working with school-age children.
- Completion of required forms, CORI/SORI check, fingerprinting, and reference verification.
- Evidence of a physical exam within the past year and required immunizations.
- Compliance with all EEC requirements, including background checks and certifications.
- Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain within six months of employment).
Supervisor: Program Director, Manchester Parks & Recreation
Supervision Exercised: Direct supervision of Group Leaders, Assistant Group Leaders, and program participants.
Starting Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Hours:
- Program Hours: 2:30–6:30 PM, Monday–Friday
- Full Hours: 12:30–6:30 PM, Monday–Friday (aligned with the school schedule, including early release days).
