The Town of Mashpee Department of Natural Resources invites applications for Seasonal Shellfish Technicians. This seasonal role pays $20.00/hour and works up to 37.5 hours/week, including weekends, holidays, and some evenings as applicable with changing tides.
Job Requirements:
- High School Graduate or GED
- Knowledge of shellfish aquaculture or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience
- Boating, waterway, and shellfish laws knowledge
- Mashpee Town By-laws knowledge
- Minimum age: 18 years old
- Valid MA driver's license (Class D)
- MA Boating Safety Certification
- CPR and First Aid Certifications
- PASS A C.O.R.I. background check
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Department of Natural Resources with aquaculture, shellfish propagation, protection, and other related work
- Conduct Water Quality sampling and monitoring
