Performs intermediate skilled clerical work assisting with a variety of office assistance and administrative tasks; does related work as required. Work is performed under general supervision of the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Director.

- Receives calls and callers for the department and ascertains nature of business, directs to appropriate authority for disposition.
- Processes program registrations.
- Maintains detailed files and inventory records.
- Answers questions and responds to inquiries or complaints on department and/or operations, policies and procedures.
- Provides administrative staff support to the Senior Advisory Committee.
- Processes facilities rental.
- Prepares daily deposit.
- Processes refunds.
- Provides customer support for online registration.
- Composes routine correspondence.
- Creates presentations, reports, spreadsheets and checklists.
- Assists with special events.
- Processes accounts payable.
- Assists with the hiring of part-time employees. Assists with tracking the hours of part-time employees and part-time salary budget.
- Checks and reviews a variety of data for accuracy, completeness and conformance to established standards and procedures.
- Purchase office supplies and equipment for the department.
- Provides administrative support to Recreation Division and Athletic Division.
- Handles special projects as assigned.
- Performs related tasks as required.
General knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment and office assistance techniques; general knowledge of business English, spelling and arithmetic; general knowledge of the organization and functions of the department and of general administrative policies and practices; ability to keep office records and to prepare accurate reports from file sources; ability to perform and organize work independently; ability to prepare effective correspondence on routine matters and to perform routine office management details without referral to supervisor; skill in the operation of personal computer equipment and related office software; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public.
Graduation from high school and considerable experience in an office environment, especially experience in customer service work.
