Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an engaging and fulfilling summer camp experience. This position is for our teen travel camp, ("On the Go", for grades 5th-8th). Counselors must attend daily trips with camp & campers.
As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, providing guidance, and supporting the personal growth of campers while fostering a positive community atmosphere.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with campers in various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Attend daily trips
- Provide support in behavior management, helping campers resolve conflicts and encouraging positive interactions.
- Foster an inclusive environment that respects diversity and encourages teamwork among campers.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff to ensure a cohesive camp experience.
- Assist with daily operations of the camp, including setup, cleanup, and maintenance of equipment.
- Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating strong leadership skills
Experience
- Previous experience working with children preferred
- Familiarity with techniques and behavior management strategies is beneficial.
- Experience in camp settings preferred
- A passion for educating children and helping them grow in their personal development is essential.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $20.50 per hour
Expected hours: 28 – 40 per week
