POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under general supervision, performs a variety of routine manual tasks in the construction, maintenance, and repair of town property including but not limited to parks, roadways, rights-of-way. Performs related work as required.
MAINTAINER I
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- May include the use of hand tools, power equipment, such as string trimmers, leaf blowers and mowers, picking up litter and assisting in athletic field maintenance. This is an outdoor position and subject to all types of summertime weather.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE:
- A valid Connecticut Driver’s License.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for spring and summer months, four-month position. Rate of pay $19.50/hour.
MAINTAINER II
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
- Flower bed maintenance, hand watering plants, use of hand tools, power equipment, such as string trimmers, leaf blowers and mowers, picking up litter, assisting in athletic field maintenance, assisting pool maintenance and park beautification.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE:
- A valid Connecticut Driver’s License.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., six-month position. Rate of pay $23.25/hour.
