What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Youth T-Ball/Wee Ball Coach position at Town of Normal?
The position will be responsible for supervising/coaching youth in a team setting. Staff work within the program to teach youth baseball and softball skills. Program runs evenings 5-7pm. The season will begin the first week of June and run until late July.
Examples of Work Performed:
- Follow weekly practice plans
- Instructing groups of children (Ages 3-6)
- Communicate new skills and techniques to beginner level players
- Enforcing program rules
- Care of supplies and equipment
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have knowledge of the sport of baseball/softball
- Must be able to demonstrate proper techniques to participants
- Must enjoy working with young children
- Must be outgoing and able to lead
