What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wee Ball and T-Ball Program Coordinator position at Town of Normal?
The position will be responsible for helping supervise and coordinate coaches upon site location. Communication between coaches, coordinator and recreation supervisor will be maintained through this position.
Coordinator will oversee the following programs and keep location on time, help with communication, traffic and checking on coach's needs.
MORNING AND EVENING HOURS
AM Wee Ball (Ages 3-4) - Learning basic skills through fun activities (Mon-Thurs)
AM Wee Ball (Ages 3-4) - Learning basic skills through fun activities (Mon-Thurs)
PM T-Ball (Ages 5-6) - Enhancing skills and learning team based game play (Mon-Thurs)
PM T-Ball (Ages 5-6) - Enhancing skills and learning team based game play (Mon-Thurs)
Program runs June and July
Each program runs approx. 6 weeks long and is Mon-Thurs (9-11a) and (5-7p)
Position Guaranteed - 10-25 hours weekly for all seasons-Coordinating and communicating with Coaches/Instructors as well Rec Supervisor
-Communicating information to parents on a regular basis
-Enforcing program rules
-Care of supplies and equipment
-Hours: 10-25 weekly
Mon-Thurs Mornings 8:45a-11:15a - 10 hours
Mon-Thurs Evenings 4:45p-7:15pm - 10 hours
-Must have knowledge of the sport of baseball/softball
-Must be able to communicate with parents, coaches and participants upon arrival
-Direct coaches, participants and parents to proper fields
-Enjoy working with young children
-Must be outgoing and able to lead, stay in constant communication with program supervisor
Previous Supervisory Experience preferred.
NAYS Program Director Training preferred (will be provided by employer if not already obtained)

Preferred age is 18 years and older.
Previous Coaching Experience.Previous Supervisory Experience preferred.
