What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUMMER - Miracle League - Field Supervisor position at Town of Normal?
The position will be responsible for supervising and overseeing all game day operations at Miracle Field. Working with special needs baseball in a team gameplay setting. Programs take place on Sunday afternoons throughout April-May and August-September.
Program - Miracle League of Central Illinois
Special Needs Baseball (ages 5-99)
* Junior League
* Senior League
Approx. 5-6 hours weekly x12 weeks
-Helping with set up of Miracle League Game Day Prep
-Helping check-in all Volunteers and Coaches
-Interacting and providing a warm, welcoming environment for all
-Filling in for Coaches and helping instruct and direct participants with special needs in a baseball sports setting (as needed)
-Games are Sundays from 12-5pm (1 hour before and 30 minutes after for set up and tear down)
- Therapeutic Recreation Degree or Pursuant (Preferred)
- Previous Sports Knowledge (particularly Baseball/Softball)
- Prior Experience working with Special Needs of various conditions
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Supervisory experience preferred Preferred age is 18 years and older.
