What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer - Pool Cashier position at Town of Normal?
The cashiers greet customers that are entering the facility, complete transactions for general admission, scan season pool passes, answer phone calls, schedule birthday parties and private rentals and answer general questions from the public. Cashiers also take swim lesson and season pass registrations. The working season for this position is Memorial Day through Labor Day.
-Greeting and waiting on the guests
-Collecting admission fees
-Making correct change
-Operating a computerized register and activity registration
-Answering the phone and assisting guests with questions
-Making birthday party and private rental reservations
-Registering guests for swim lessons and season pool passes
-General cleaning and other duties as assigned
-Excellent cash handling and change making skills required
-Must be customer focused while enforcing facility policies
-Must be comfortable working with people of all ages
-Cashiers are scheduled to rotate between the Fairview Family Aquatic Center and the Anderson Aquatic Center
-Staff must have transportation to work at either aquatic facility
Previous experience in a cash handling or customer service position preferred. Must be 16 years or older.
Salary : $16 - $17
