What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer - Pool Concessions Attendant position at Town of Normal?
Workers will become familiar with all aspects of the stand from food preparation, food service and point of sale (working a register). Working season is summer.
-Preparation of food to include hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, popcorn, sodas and more
-Food Service, which includes taking the prepared item and packaging for the consumer
-Point of Sale, to include taking orders, ringing sales into register, collecting money and giving correct change
-Providing quality customer service
-Following cash handling policies and procedures
-Maintain a clean concession stand
-Interest in food service
-Hard worker
-Must be comfortable standing for long stretches of time
-Excellent cash handling and change making skills required
-Must be able to perform tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment
-Available to work a variety of hours on weekdays and weekends, including holidays
Must have interest in food service, previous experiences or home kitchen. Must complete Food Handler Certification course provided by the department before 1st day of work in stand. Preferred 16 years or older.
