What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer - Swim Lessons Instructor position at Town of Normal?
Teaching children, 6 months-15 years, the fundamentals of learning to swim through the use of games, song and repetition.
-Developing creative ways to teach a skill
-Coordinating with co-workers to keep class moving, being fun and involving all participants in activity
-Demonstrating various skills to the participants
-Enforcing facility rules and teaching them to participants
-Care of equipment and supplies
-Must be able to swim proficiently
-Ability to demonstrate basic swimming skills
-Must be comfortable working with young children
-Must be able to work a minimum of two, two-week sessions
Previous experience working with children is preferred such as babysitting or previous swim instruction experience. Must be 15 years or older and be able to obtain a work permit.
Salary : $17 - $18
