What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Sports Coach - Soccer - Spring position at Town of Normal?
The position will be responsible for supervising/coaching youth in a team setting. Programs typically take place on week nights and then have games on Saturday mornings. The season will begin March 19th and run through May 3rd. Each Coach would be responsible for 2 teams, 1 night per week and each Saturday morning.
Examples of Work Performed:
-Assist in developing a practice plan for the program
-Instructing small groups of children (Ages 4-10)
-Communicating information to parents on a regular basis
-Enforcing program rules
-Care of supplies and equipment
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Must have knowledge of the sport of soccer
-Must be able to demonstrate proper techniques to participants
-Must enjoy working with young children
-Must be outgoing and able to lead
