What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Coordinator position at TOWN OF NORTH KINGSTOWN?
Oversees all administrative aspects of Department of Public Works programs including Transfer Station, assuring that all rules and regulations are met. Coordinates State and regional operations for Transfer Station; insures proper handling of cash transactions and sets fee schedule; oversees curbside recycling contract; seeks grants from RIRRC for recycling; and provides clerk coverage when necessary. Oversees contracts for facilities and snow plowing; prepares bid specs for projects and goods; acts as support for Asset Management Committee and other boards as needed. Oversees department safety polices, and dispatches crews. Responsible for payroll, billing, and purchase orders.
Graduation from four-year college and five year's increasingly responsible related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience. Considerable knowledge of office practices and procedures. Considerable knowledge of computer applications in Windows environment, including internet. Skills necessary to prepare databases, spreadsheets and correspondence. Considerable knowledge of Public Works Department rules and regulations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with public.
Salary dependent on experience – projected in the range of $56,000 - $67,000 plus benefits.
