Examples of Duties
In This Position You Will
- Keep restrooms clean and sanitized and stocked with supplies; clean kitchen areas and eating areas including appliances; sweep, mop and buff floors in offices, hallways, sidewalks, entrances, porches and other facilities.
- Perform scheduled floor maintenance including scrubbing, buffing, stripping and refinishing, wash windows, screens, walls and light fixtures and glass.
- Respond and clean spills, broken items, etc.; inspect grounds surrounding building and pick up trash.
- Participate in the setup for events, meetings, and office relocations.
- Ensure all work is done according to standard practices, design specifications, and Town and local building codes; ensure proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Needs To Have/ Be
- High School Diploma or equivalent required with a minimum of one (1) year of custodial services experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job.
- Must be able to pass the Police fingerprint background check.
- Knowledge of various cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, cleaners and sweepers, buffers, vacuums, brooms, shovels and other hand tools.
- Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Schedule varies depending on the needs of the Town of Prescott Valley.
