What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Attendant position at Town of Superior?
- This is a seasonal position working at the Town's outdoor pools, which are open May through September. Work week and working hours will vary with assignments Monday-Sunday. Evenings, weekends, holidays and split shifts may be required. The duration of the season and the operational hours may vary based on current health and safety guidelines.
- The Front Desk Attendant provides administrative, reception and program support for the Town's pool facilities.
- Requires high customer contact both in person and on the phone.
- Works under the supervision of the Pool Manager or Assistant Pool Manager on duty and Aquatics Administrative Coordinator.
- Performs clerical duties including typing, filing, office machine operation, cash register operation and maintenance of records
- Assists recreation staff in their duties and assignments.
- Manages the phone activity including providing general knowledge to callers.
- Manages walk-in traffic.
- Monitor facility to ensure guest's safety and security.
- Performs membership identification process.
- Enforces policies, rules and regulations governing the conduct of patrons using the pool and the surrounding area.
- Represents the Town of Superior in a positive, professional manner to the community.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those residents and visitors contacted in the course of work.
- Maintains common areas and office equipment.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of locker rooms/rest rooms and pool decks as necessary.
- Handles cash receivables and operate a cash register/computer.
- Contributes to a positive work environment.
- Requires clerical skills and the ability to undertake multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Requires the ability to excel in a highly structured environment.
- General knowledge of current office practices, methods, and procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to positively interact with the general public.
- Ability to efficiently coordinate many activities and work effectively with other staff in a positive work environment.
- Ability to use office equipment including computers, cash register, phone systems and photocopies in a highly structured and multitasked environment.
- Current certifications in First Aid and CPR/ AED required.
- Basic computer and phone skills required.
- Customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
Work Environment:
Work will be at an outdoor facility and will include exposure to all types of weather conditions, including exposure to the sun. The employee may be exposed to fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides, chlorine, pool chemicals, blood and lightning.
Salary : $15 - $18
