On-Site Youth Sport Supervisor

Assists with the supervision of youth athletic programs and/or activities at town fields, rinks, and courts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Prepare athletic facilities and playing areas including gym setup, goals, and other equipment
• Resolve conflict situations with game spectators, participants, coaches, and staff
• Ensure employees report to work on time, in uniform and scheduled in proper assignments and contact replacements if needed
• Assist in administrative tasks, including distribution of schedules, memos, forms, and time sheets
• Manage inventory of game supplies, administrative supplies, and safety supplies
• Assist in periodic cleaning duties, including trash removal, restrooms, spectator, and participant areas
• Submitting and reviewing appropriate forms, including accident, injury, and facility reports, time sheets, sign-in sheets, and game sheets
• Observe, follow, and enforce established policies and procedures in the daily conduct of the job
• Attend and participate in staff meetings and/or trainings
• Other duties may be assigned from time to time, this list is not meant to be all inclusive

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 17 years old at the time of hire
• Familiarity with athletic events, including participation, officiating, or administration
• Emphasis on communication and customer service skills
• The ability of become CPR and First-Aid certified prior to the class being taught
• The ability to pass a criminal background check if 18 years of age or older

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• A minimum of 2 years of playing or officiating experience

• The work may also entail working closely with co-workers and supervisors
• Must have the ability to position and lift up to fifty-(50) pounds
• Requires running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and reaching skills
