What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Events Staff position at Town of Timnath?
The Town of Timnath is looking for high-energy individuals who love to be part of the action, to support our community events as special event staff. This is not a full-time gig; this position allows you to select the events you are interested in and available to work. We have a wide range of events that we need staff at, so there is something for everyone! From the Town Clean Up and Appreciation Day to Movie in the Park to Fall Festival, to name a few, you’ll have a different experience at every event you work.

Below is a sampling of the duties you can expect to participate in during one of our many events:
- Assist in setting up venues for various events, including signage, supplies, tables, chairs, and other equipment
- Welcome community members at events
- Supervise event activities, ensure safety standards are followed for the safety of all participants
- Ensure that the event venues are clean and organized at all times
- May work with sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and performers as directed
- Performs other administrative duties as assigned, including but not limited to assembling vendor packets, preparing mailings, and stuffing bags
- Drives town vehicles, runs errands and delivers special events equipment to assigned location (must be 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license)
- Provides exceptional guest service and provides accurate and up-to-date information regarding events
- Monitors events to ensure they are running smoothly and responds to community members questions and complaints
- Clean up venue after events, including taking down supplies and equipment, organize storage, pick up and collect trash, clean surface and interior areas used during the event
- Other duties may be assigned from time to time, this list is not meant to be all inclusive

- Must be able to pass a post offer background screening
Experience required:
- 6 months of events experience preferred

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions when attending special events
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions
- Working conditions are inside and outside in municipal parks, building, or other settings
- May require driving during inclement weather
- Requires long hours on event days
