What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent - Public Works, Water and Wastewater position at Town of Trappe?
Duties to include:
The Superintendent supervises, directs, and oversees all work performed by employees assigned to Public Works, Water Treatment and the Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Superintendent ensures continuity and compliance of the plant's operations 24 hours a day. Performs efficient and effective operations and maintenance of water treatment and distribution and wastewater treatment plants. Prepares and submit all required operation reports to local, State, and Federal entities. Develops and submits monthly plant performance reports to the Maryland Department of the Environment and applicable regulatory agencies. Superintendent will also perform all duties as an operator and perform other duties as assigned. Superintendent must obtain and maintain all necessary certifications as a Water and Wastewater Superintendent to operate such Water Treatment and Distribution facilities and Wastewater Collection and Treatment facilities as are in use by the Town. Already licensed as a Superintendent, a plus! Required to work rotating weekends and holidays. Excellent benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
