Job Title: Parks Seasonal Worker

Reports To: Parks and Recreation Manager

Summary: The Parks Seasonal Worker performs daily maintenance and semi-skilled tasks required to provide and improve high-quality parks, open spaces, and trails amenities. This position will also help with special event preparation and implementation.

· Ability to follow the Town of Wellington and Parks and Recreation Department policies, procedures, safety protocols and specific job tasks.
· Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment. Ability to work alone, with and without direct supervision through direct communication, planning, and scheduling daily maintenance and semi-skilled tasks.
· Must possess or be able to purchase ANSI certified safety toe footwear (i.e. steel or composite toe). Receipt Required. You may be reimbursed 50% of the cost of footwear up to $50.
· Perform daily parks tasks including litter and recycling removal, cleaning restrooms, playground maintenance and safety checks, mowing, string trimming, backpack blowing, and edging.
· Perform semi-skilled tasks such as but not limited to: small maintenance equipment use, plowing snow/snow removal, operating agricultural equipment, landscaping and sports field maintenance.
· Prepare sports fields for games, including but not limited to infield preparation, field chalking, field painting, setting out bases, etc.
· Make minor repairs and report issues with vehicles and equipment to direct supervisor.
· Assists in preparations and setup for Town events which may require flexed scheduling and working on weekends and/or holidays.
· Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Valid Colorado Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in parks, trails, and open spaces maintenance.
