Summary Job Description: Supervise summer camp participants, maintain a clean and safe environment, enforce all camp policies, rules and regulations, administer first aid as necessary.
Mandatory Requirements for all Town Employees: A) You are required to understand and abide by all safety work practices for yourself and your staff members. B) You are required to understand and use customer service “best practices” when dealing with external customers (the public) and internal customers (peers and co-workers) by treating everyone fairly, with understanding, empathy, and professionalism.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise assigned groups of campers in all camp activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by cleaning gyms, classrooms, and grounds daily.
- Administer First Aid to campers as necessary and in accordance with training.
- Perform all other duties as required by Supervisor/Camp Director.
- Participate in required staff training programs and meetings.
- Maintain accurate time sheet and submit to Camp Director as required.
- Enforce all policies, rules, and regulations at Camp.
- Log reports of all accidents, incidents, complaints, and compliments.
Specific knowledge and skills required:
Camp Counselor: Must be at least 16 years old (15 with previous CIT experience). Must possess excellent supervisory and childcare experience. Certification in First Aid and CPR a plus, but training will be given if necessary.
This is a seasonal, exempt, position with a pay range of $16.69-$21.00. Dates and hours for the summer camp program are as follows:
Summer Camp Schedule:
June 23 – July 25, 2025
8:00 am – 3:00 pm, Monday – Friday
