Class 1 Wastewater Operator

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wastewater Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of water treatment processes, equipment repair, and the ability to analyze and troubleshoot various systems.

Duties

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems to ensure efficient performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and machinery, identifying any necessary repairs or maintenance.
• Utilize distributed control systems to manage treatment processes effectively.
• Conduct basic math calculations to analyze data related to water quality and treatment efficiency.
• Engage in heavy lifting as required for equipment maintenance and facility operations.
• Collaborate with team members to build and maintain effective wastewater treatment systems.
• Troubleshoot issues related to logic controllers and other automated systems within the facility.
• Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and compliance reports.

Experience

• Proven experience in wastewater treatment or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with water treatment processes, equipment repair, and plumbing is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
• Experience working with heavy machinery and performing physical tasks associated with wastewater operations.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to wastewater management is essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
