THE GROWTH YOU HELP PROVIDE AS A HOTEL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
As a full-time Hotel Maintenance Technician, you'll work four 10-hour shifts per week , with a rotating schedule that includes midshifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Flexibility is key to ensuring our hotel runs smoothly around the clock.
Each day, you will take ownership of the maintenance and repair needs of our property. You will begin by collaborating with the Chief Engineer to identify tasks for the day, ensuring all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities are functioning perfectly. When a guest reports an issue, you'll respond promptly to address it, showcasing your expertise in HVAC systems, plumbing, or electrical repairs.
Your day will also include maintaining the pool, ensuring it meets health and safety standards for an enjoyable guest experience. Throughout your shift, you'll focus on preventative upkeep, identifying areas for improvement, and working with your team to uphold TownePlace Suites' high brand standards.
OUR IDEAL HOTEL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
- 1 year(s) of maintenance or repair experience, ideally in a hotel or similar environment
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical work, and general building maintenance
- Familiarity with pool maintenance or a willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and solve problems proactively
- Excellent communication skills and a guest-first mindset to ensure exceptional service
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to meet safety standards
