Mitel Field Technician –Your Path To Tech Success

At Towner Communications, our Mitel Field Technicians don’t sit on the sidelines. You’ll lead complex projects, support major clients, and work hands-on with industry-leading platforms like MiVoice Business, MiCollab, and Mitel Border Gateway. From advanced troubleshooting to full-scale installations, this role is for pros who know how to handle unified communications with precision.

In this role, you’ll:

• Install and configure Mitel MiVoice Business, MiCollab, and MBG systems

• Diagnose and resolve VoIP, UC, and connectivity issues—onsite and remotely

• Lead multi-location deployments and high-impact client projects

• Support physical installs, low-voltage cabling, and network integration

• Collaborate with project managers, network engineers, and support teams

• Provide documentation, training, and follow-up support to ensure long-term success

You’ll be the go-to resource for clients who need more than just quick fixes—they’ll count on you for expertise, responsiveness, and real results.

Where You’ll Work – Kansas City Based or Remote

We’re headquartered in Kansas City, and that’s where most of our field service magic happens. If you’re local, you’ll be jumping into on-site installs, hands-on support, and working directly with our project and service teams.

But if you’re not in KC? Don’t sweat it.

We’re also hiring remote Mitel Field Technicians with the experience and drive to support clients across the country. As long as you can manage complex deployments, provide responsive remote support, and collaborate effectively with our in-house crew—we want to hear from you.

What You Need to Succeed

We’re not looking for someone who just checks boxes—we want a Mitel Field Technician who can lead complex installs, troubleshoot under pressure, and stay two steps ahead of client needs. If you’re confident in your skills and ready to deliver real results, you’re our kind of tech.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• 5 years of hands-on experience with Mitel systems in enterprise or multi-site environments

• Proven expertise with MiVoice Business, Mitel MiCollab, and Mitel Border Gateway (MBG)

• Strong VoIP and UC troubleshooting skills, including SIP, RTP, QoS, VLANs, and firewall/NAT configuration

• Mitel Certified Associate (MCA) or Mitel Certified Professional (MCP) credentials (or equivalent experience)

• Experience with low voltage installs, network integration, and remote user support

• Excellent communication, documentation, and follow-through

• A proactive, team-first mindset—zero ego, high accountability
