ASSIGNMENT: 12 Month
General Responsibilities
To assist the Associate Principal with routine duties. This position must have knowledge of relevant district financial policies, procedures and guidelines and is responsible for maintaining and reporting on the building's financial transactions and reconciliations. Will be facilitating and coordinating timely and accurate details in performing the fiduciary responsibilities assigned to this position. There is considerable contact with staff, students, parents and outside organizations. Must develop an overview of all district financial operations relevant to the building.
An employee in this position works within clearly established systems and procedures, must exhibit organizational skills and exercise independent judgment and confidentiality in the performance of duties. The Bookkeeper must exhibit initiative and embrace a collaborative team approach to accomplish the mission of the district.

Qualifications
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have physical ability to lift/move supplies, materials and office equipment up to 40 lbs.
- Must sit at workstation for extended period of time and/or move frequently from workstation to various other areas of building.
- Must organize and prioritize workflow.
- Must be proficient in the use of computers, office practices, procedures and office equipment.
- Must project a positive image of the district to students, staff and parents as well as exhibit a positive employee attitude.
- Must demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills, and communicate clearly and respectfully with students, staff, parents, visitors and the general public.
- Must have awareness of a variety of student needs including physical and social emotional needs..
- Must have strong working knowledge of accounting functions and financial systems
- Must have mathematical aptitude to perform various bookkeeping activities.
- Must have strong written and oral communication, organization, and public relations skills.
- Assisting in the efficient and effective functioning of the office including but not limited to:
- facilitating the payments, deposits and reconciliation of the building's cash, credit card and online transactions in accordance with the district financial policies, procedures and guidelines
- maintaining, facilitating and reconciling assigned building P-Card usage in accordance with district policies, procedures and guidelines
- providing input to Administration as new procedures and financial platforms are considered and introduced
- serving as building student activities financial liaison with school and district staff
- updating and training staff as needed on relevant district financial policies, procedures, and guidelines
- assisting student activities/athletics groups by providing cash handling, collecting fees and performing relevant tasks
- Assisting the Associate Principal as applicable to each building.
- Participating in appropriate professional development activities in order to enhance job performance.
- Cultivating and developing inclusive and equitable working relationships with staff, students, and community members.
