The Parks and Recreation Department is seeking an experienced receptionist/secretary. The position responsibilities include but are not limited to: greeting visitors, residents, and guests; determine the purpose of visit and direct/escort individual to appropriate dept; answer, screen and direct phone calls to appropriate department/staff; retrieve and respond to messages; responds or provides direction in response to inquiries and questions; retrieves mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes to appropriate department; process mail through postage machine; pick up or drop off mail to post office as needed; performs administrative and clerical support tasks which may include email and other correspondence, recordkeeping, data entry, filing, etc; issue bulk pick up permits; process payments and notify Public Works dept as needed; handle petty cash, ordering and maintaining coffee supplies; maintenance of postage machine, and perform related duties as required.
