- Develop comprehensive financial plans, analyze operating results and variances to inform strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the annual budget planning process, ensuring accurate forecasting and allocation of resources.
- Support mid-term plan development, providing data-driven insights to drive business growth.
- Update consolidated forecasts, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Prepare segment Profit and Loss (P&L) reports, highlighting key trends and performance indicators.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, supporting the finance team with data-driven recommendations.
- Compile executive-level reports, summarizing key financial metrics and performance trends.
- Design and implement advanced reporting models to streamline monthly reporting and budgeting/forecasting processes.
Accounting Functions
- Prepare and review month-end journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Consolidate all subsidiary accounts in North America on a quarterly basis, including intercompany reconciliation and elimination entries.
- Prepare year-end and quarterly Prepared by Client (PBC) schedules in support of audits and reviews.
- Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts, verifying account balances and resolving discrepancies.
- Research new accounting regulations, staying up-to-date with industry developments and compliance requirements.
- Review financial statements for completeness and accuracy, identifying areas for improvement.
Tax Administration
- Process quarterly payments of federal and state income taxes, ensuring timely compliance.
- Coordinate with external tax service providers on annual income tax provisions, sales taxes, and other business taxes.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with experience applying relevant standards and regulations.
- Proven financial analysis skills, with the ability to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience with accounting systems and practices, including proficiency with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to research and resolve complex issues, with a strong problem-solving mindset.
- Willingness to go above and beyond to complete tasks accurately and on time, with a customer-centric approach.
- Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with advanced skill sets and experience.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year institution in accounting or equivalent field.
- CPA certification required, with at least five years of accounting experience and two years at a senior level.
