Journeyman Plumber
Position Overview:
Toyoda Gosei Texas is seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Plumber to join our facilities maintenance team at a Tier One manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing plumbing systems to ensure the smooth and safe operation of our plant, which manufactures parts for cars, trucks, and SUVs. As a Journeyman Plumber, you will be responsible for performing various plumbing tasks, ensuring all systems are functioning optimally and safely. This role requires a Texas State Plumbing License and a commitment to providing timely, efficient, and high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and installations of all plumbing systems within the manufacturing plant, including water supply lines, drainage systems, and waste disposal systems.
- Ensure all plumbing installations and repairs comply with local codes and regulations.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on plumbing systems to avoid downtime and costly repairs.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency plumbing issues in a timely manner.
- Work closely with the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to schedule maintenance and prioritize repairs.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of plant equipment and machinery, where plumbing is involved.
- Maintain accurate records of plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Assist in other general maintenance tasks as needed, such as repairing leaks, replacing fixtures, and conducting inspections.
- Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotation to provide emergency plumbing services when required.
Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Journeyman Plumber License.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Journeyman Plumber, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, blueprints, codes, and regulations.
