Journeyman Plumber

Position Overview:
Toyoda Gosei Texas is seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Plumber to join our facilities maintenance team at a Tier One manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing plumbing systems to ensure the smooth and safe operation of our plant, which manufactures parts for cars, trucks, and SUVs. As a Journeyman Plumber, you will be responsible for performing various plumbing tasks, ensuring all systems are functioning optimally and safely. This role requires a Texas State Plumbing License and a commitment to providing timely, efficient, and high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and installations of all plumbing systems within the manufacturing plant, including water supply lines, drainage systems, and waste disposal systems.
• Ensure all plumbing installations and repairs comply with local codes and regulations.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on plumbing systems to avoid downtime and costly repairs.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency plumbing issues in a timely manner.
• Work closely with the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor to schedule maintenance and prioritize repairs.
• Assist in the installation and maintenance of plant equipment and machinery, where plumbing is involved.
• Maintain accurate records of plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
• Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Assist in other general maintenance tasks as needed, such as repairing leaks, replacing fixtures, and conducting inspections.
• Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotation to provide emergency plumbing services when required.

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Journeyman Plumber License.
• Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Journeyman Plumber, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, blueprints, codes, and regulations.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, and install plumbing systems and components.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and management.
• Must be available for on-call after-hours and weekend work as needed.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy equipment (up to [X] lbs).
• Comfortable working in industrial environments and performing physically demanding tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in plumbing preferred.

Working Conditions:

• This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, daytime hours, with availability for on-call work after hours and weekends as needed.
• Work will be performed within a manufacturing plant environment, which may include exposure to industrial machinery, noise, and various environmental factors.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required at all times when working in the plant.
