What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Department Team Leader (night shift) position at Toyoda Gosei?
Job Summary
The role of the Team Leader is to support Team Members in everyday tasks to reach goals for the day. To practice safety and to teach safe working conditions in their area and TGTX. The individual in this role will support the Supervisor and Manager on projects and Kaizen (continuous improvement) and will motivate their teams and support standardized work.
Responsibilities
- Must have strong commitment to the management planning and objectives.
- Direct Involvement in the development of assignments, internal audits. KPM's and Kaizen.
- Lead in application of TPS Systems and 5S Philosophy for TGTX. Define and actively contribute to the accomplishment of the systems.
- Required to operate equipment (Forklift, Tugger, Pallet Jack, Cart, Scanner, Wrapper), fill-in and conduct same tasks as Team Members to support Production Objectives
- Conduct Team meetings and motivate others to accomplish the targets of the business
- Participate in training courses needed for better efficiency in production, timing and cost control.
- Identify task and prepare appropriate response or actions for successful completion.
- Problem-solving and resolution to meet the business efficiency plan.
