Job Summary
The Manufacturing Logistics Expert at Toyota Boshoku will be responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of goods, materials, and equipment within our manufacturing facilities. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate the receipt and dispatch of goods and materials, including customs clearance and freight forwarding.
• Manage the kanban system to ensure just-in-time delivery of materials and minimize waste.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the supply chain, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Implement and manage process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
• Provide training and support to colleagues on supply chain procedures and best practices.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required.
• At least 4 years of experience in manufacturing logistics or a related field is necessary. An automotive environment is preferred.
• Proven track record of success in supply chain management, with a focus on process improvement and cost reduction.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
• Certification in Supply Chain Management, such as APICS or CSCP, is highly desirable.
Work Environment
