Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance and Quality Control Specialist to join our team at Toyota Boshoku America. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our production process.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and implementing quality systems to ensure plant parts meet or exceed customer expectations;
- Investigating, analyzing, containing, and correcting quality problems related to final customer products;
- Performing audits and implementing new strategies to improve the condition of plant quality;
- Facilitating and coordinating ECR (Engineering Change Request) and ECI (Engineering Change Information) activities for the Quality Department;
- Communicating with QC Specialists/Assistant Managers and other teams to ensure effective implementation of quality initiatives.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field;
- At least four years of relevant experience in quality assurance or control;
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills;
- Strong knowledge of quality audit techniques, statistical process control, and manufacturing processes;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, experience with:
- Toyota launch systems and requirements;
- Automotive plants and processes;
- Quality management and control systems;
- Manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment;
- Machine operation;
- AutoCAD;
- Japanese language skills;
Work Environment
This is an office-based position with occasional travel to TBA, Supplier, and Customer plants. The successful candidate must be willing to work in a multicultural office environment and travel up to 10% of the time. PPE may be required in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas.
Physical Demands
The successful candidate must be able to sit and work on a computer for extensive periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time. May be occasionally required to lift up to 30 pounds.
