About The Job :

Toyota Industries Commercial Finance is currently going through a dealer and customer-centric digital transformation to improve the digital touchpoints for associates, dealers, and end customers. As a part of digital transformation, the Senior Financial Systems Analyst will enable our development efforts for the applications impacting the Finance Teams. The Senior Financial Systems will proactively and holistically lead the Application Support activities that guide the enhancement, development and management of a portfolio of applications & solutions. Solutions include projects, products, systems (including applications, technologies, processes and information), shared infrastructure services and shared application services.

He / she needs a deep understanding of Finance Departments (FP&A, Treasury and Accounting) and inner working and operations of a Captive Finance company along with strong technical background. Senior Financial Systems Analyst will be responsible for leading small to mid-size projects, analysis and design tasks. He / she will support & guide the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet the finance teams needs and align with architectural governance and standards.

What You'll Do :

Day-to-Day Activities (30%)

  • Oversee AMS partner activities, ensuring compliance with service management standards and accountability for service level agreements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing analysis, recommendations, negotiation, and direction on complex financial, business, and technical issues.
  • Maintain system standards and documentation, ensuring they are up-to-date, centralized, and securely stored.
  • Establish preventative controls for application processes to mitigate risks, ensure data integrity, and enhance system security.
  • Leverage technology and process expertise to assess the impact of technology and process changes on finance and business operations.
  • Act as a key advisor to the team, offering deep functional expertise on work plans, standards, processes, procedures, and change management initiatives as needed.
  • Serve as a backup to the Financial Application Manager in leading application support and project initiatives.
  • Foster strong partnerships with Treasury, FP&A, and Accounting teams to proactively address their current needs while anticipating and planning for future requirements.
  • Translates Finance Strategy into Technology Solutions (30%)

  • Understands finance departments requirements and drivers along with business capabilities (future and current state) and decides corresponding enterprise system designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.
  • Leads the evaluation, design, and analysis of solution implementations within a suite of finance applications and technologies, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy, business capabilities, value streams, business requirements, and organizational standards.
  • Analyzes the Finance-IT environment (run, grow and transform the business) to detect critical deficiencies, legacy and technical debt, and recommends solutions for improvement (systems of record, differentiation and innovation).
  • Understands emerging technology trends and disruptions and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models.
  • Translates finance, business and technical requirements into a blueprint to achieve objectives and documents all solution design and analysis work.
  • Influence decisions on broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes.
  • Facilitates and Collaborates to Deliver Outcomes (30%)

  • Works closely with the (PMO) project management office to ensure the execution of projects corresponds with what is being promised throughout the project or product lifecycle.
  • Works closely with the Finance teams to ensure a robust solution and runway that can support future requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Provides consulting support to teams to ensure the project or product are aligned with the overall team and organization.
  • Consults with application and infrastructure development projects and products to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture and identify when it is necessary to change projects to accommodate the solutions architecture.
  • Influence and simplify complex application functionality in a manner that can be understood, articulate ideas and solutions to influence others toward a desired outcome or solution; answer technical questions to support the case.
  • Technology Roadmap / Planning (10%)

  • Assist managers in developing annual and multi-year department objectives and strategies.
  • Understand the future direction of business and the IT impact on the business
  • Utilize knowledge of key business metrics to proactively identify complex areas of improvement; determine whether improvement can be achieved through process changes or technology enhancement; negotiate solutions with the customer
  • Strategize with Finance and IT teams to develop and implement application design that addresses current requirements while driving innovation for future business needs.
  • Qualifications You'll Need :

    Must Have :

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, computer science, information-technology, engineering, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
  • Minium of 10 years of experience in Financial Industry with background in Treasury, Accounting and / or FP&A
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT role (systems analyst, solution development disciplines, application development, database management or cloud)
  • Experience delivering presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences
  • Good knowledge of at least one development languages like .Net, Java, Go and Python - preferable Python
  • Good knowledge of at least one database technologies like SQL, MongoDB and Oracle - preferable SQL
  • Good knowledge of Finance Concepts (i.e. Accounting, Profitability Analysis, Debt, Derivatives, CCIRS, FX, ALM, FTP, etc)
  • Great to Have :

  • Advanced degree - MBA with a concentration in an IT related area is a plus
  • Experience supporting Financial Applications (ie SAP sFIN, Oracle EPM, GTreasury, Empyrean, etc).
  • Willing to learn new technology
  • Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as waterfall, agile software development, DevOps)
  • Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • Excellent financial, analytical, planning, organizational and technical and skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with onshore, offshore, AMS providers
