You will layout and construct various product assemblies with minimum supervision according to blueprints or specifications, using a variety of portable or hand tools. - At least 2 years of mechanical assembly experience in a production environment
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems assembly tasks
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and assembly drawings
- Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
- Specific vision abilities required; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to communicate effectively, including the ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
- Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Work as part of a production team to assemble forklifts
- Close tolerance hand work and ability to diagnose improper mechanical assembly or operation
- Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, instructions, diagrams, engineering drawings, and other written instructions or procedures
- Assembly of sheet metal, mechanical components, hydraulic equipment, electrical components, pump assembly, etc.
- Inspect and test assembled parts and equipment for fit, performance, and compliance
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Utilize various hand-held tools such as pneumatic and battery-operated impact or drill guns.
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
- Assists in developing proper methods and optimum operation layout.
- Assist engineering with root cause analysis and problem solving.
- Assists in the design and building of tools and equipment or recommends improvements to existing processes.
- Optimizes resources (manpower, equipment and materials) to ensure efficient and timely completion of work.
