Your Job:
The Service Dispatcher’s primary responsibility is to coordinate with customers and dispatch technicians to customers with the highest efficiency and accommodation of emergency needs.
Your Responsibilities:
- Field customer calls by dispatching appropriate field technician for breakdowns/quoted jobs/preventive maintenance agreements and update dispatch board/Softbase
- Schedule technician appointments with customers, open work orders and order parts for repairs
- Generate, track, process, follow-up and follow-through on all quotes and work orders from field technicians
- Issue and match vendor purchase orders/packing slips; submit to Service Supervisor for review and process for payment
- Review and update work in progress list to determine a target completion of 30 days or less
- Communicate with customers for scheduling, needs and other concerns.
- Assist in resolving all customer complaints/issues; escalate to Service Manager if needed
- Follow up with all customers on scheduled times and/or discuss additional concerns with quotes and turnaround times.
- Perform other duties as required
Required Skills /Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent (Required)
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Self-motivated, detail oriented and organized with ability to shift priorities in a changing (required)
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees, vendors and (required)
- Prior experience in customer service, and material handling/industrial equipment (preferred)
- Ability to operate reach-truck, stock-picker, pallet jack, & pass forklift certification
- Ability to interact effectively with others; be a team
- Maintain a good attendance record
- Practice 5s process

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. May require sitting for long periods of time working in front of the computer, physically lifting and moving up to 50lbs. (on occasion), walk on concrete floors with the ability to use full range body motion for climbing, pushing, lifting, and reaching.
