Assembly Engineer

Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring for an Assembly Engineer for a temporary, assignment in Georgetown, KY.

This position is a 12-month assignment, with potential to extend. The pay range for this role is between $37.04 - $39/Hr. Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.

Description

Toyota’s Final Assembly Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Assembly Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to lead equipment and vehicle planning, standardization, and Equipment installations for North America at TMMK.

Reporting to the Final Assembly Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Final Assembly’s department's objective to plan future Assembly plant activities at TMMK.

What You’ll Be Doing

• (30%) Equipment Planning for upcoming model changes/Plant introduction
• (30%) Standardize layouts/designs for future model
• (30%) Install and implement new process equipment
• (10%) New Technology investigations/Special Projects and proof of concepts
• Close collaboration between both internal and external groups across Toyota
  
  

Requirements

What you bring

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Degree
• MS Office; Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
• Ability to travel up to 25% to all NAM’s as well as Japan/Canada/Mexico
• Ability to work up to 30% overtime (Weekend and shut down periods) 10-12 hours shift
• This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position
• This position will require support for equipment installation and start up for both Summer and Winter Shutdown periods including potential to support 2nd shift activities; candidate must be able to meet these schedules as required
• This person will work on Shop floor, Basic PPE.
