Who we're looking for
Toyota'sEnvironmental & FacilitiesDepartment is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Entry Level Engineer - Facilities Operations.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support manufacturing facility operations at the Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina.
Reporting to the Manager - Environmental & Facilities Projects, the person in this role will support the Environmental & FacilitiesDepartments objective to help lead design and construction along with operational systems development for the new Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina Greenfield Site.
What you'll be doing
Construction Phase ~ 2 yrs. (pre-SOP):
Creating facilities maintenance training programs and set-up
Supporting facilities equipment installation as listed but not limited to:
Kanban
Vendor Training
Facility Team Member Training
Drawing review and approvals
Developing appropriate systems for overall start-up and check operations of all facilities systems
Supporting development of facilities equipment operations and monitoring, preventive maintenance, breakdown prevention and recovery processes
Post Construction (POST SOP):
Supporting daily operations and maintenance for Plant utility and building systems - Power, chilled water, compressed air, HVAC, water supply, wastewater, and dust collection equipment.
Tracking and identifying operational issues and problem solve with countermeasures via maintenance repairs, and/or contract support.
Leading improvement activities for facility equipment system operations (ex. HVAC, Cooling Towers, etc.)
Leading improvement activities for plant utility system operations (ex. compressed air, natural gas, etc.)
Creating a standardized process(s) and documentation for various control systems
Supporting programming, troubleshooting, modifying and/or repairing programmable logic controllers for facilities engineering systems
Development and deployment of site utility metering
Project planning and project management coordination for energy and water reduction
What you bring
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering or expected graduation date by 12/2023
Operating experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment(1-2 years) or equivalent co-op experience
Experience making KPI improvements(cost, operational rate, quality, etc.)
Experience providing comprehensive analysis with specific data/details
Experience managing multiple tasks.
Experience managing project budgets
Working knowledge of AutoCAD
Experience in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to work up to 20% overtime when required.
Ability to travel up to 10% when required.
This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that's acceptable by company standards is required for this position.

Previous Co-Op/Intern experience at Mfg.
Facilities Operational experience at an Industrial Manufacturer
Proficiency with AutoCAD
Experience in Automotive Mfg Environment
Experience in Facilities-related activities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Word)
