Who we’re looking for
The TFS Enterprise Architecture team is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Enterprise Architect, Cloud to lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge cloud strategies across the organization. Reporting to the Chief Architect, the Enterprise Architect, Cloud will play a key role in building scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions across all IT domains. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines deep technical expertise with strong communication and influence across executive and engineering teams.
- Lead and facilitate in-depth technology discussions and workshops across various teams, clearly articulating and presenting technology alternatives and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
- Stay current with emerging industry trends and technologies in the cloud space to ensure our solutions remain innovative and competitive.
- Drive experimentation and innovation through Proof of Concepts (PoCs), collaborating with other architects and engineering teams to evaluate new AWS and cloud-native technologies.
- Develop and promote technology roadmaps, best practices, architectural patterns, and standards to accelerate application modernization and cloud adoption.
- Define and guide the implementation of reusable components and design patterns aligned with business objectives and IT governance.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership through training sessions and coaching on cloud-related technologies and practices.
In addition, as a Cloud SME Architect you will have the following responsibilities:
- Define and evolve the technical strategy for our Cloud Landing Zone, including foundational elements such as account structure, certificate and secret management, networking, tagging standards, and multi-region architecture.
- Partner with Architecture and Engineering teams to build scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures using AWS services, with an emphasis on automation and reusability.
- Create and maintain an inventory of approved AWS services, including usage guidelines, recommended patterns, and best practices.
- Establish Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development standards aligned with modern CI/CD practices.
- Collaborate with application teams to define and evangelize Cloud Native application development standards and best practices.
- Rethink and redesign cloud governance and risk guardrails, developing architecture that supports native and automated enforcement.
- Work closely with platform and engineering teams to automate deployment patterns, guardrails, and compliance checks.
- Lead the exploration of emerging AWS services, evaluating their potential through PoCs to inform future architectural direction.
- Mentor and support engineering and architecture teams on AWS best practices and cutting-edge technologies.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on AWS-based environments.
- Proven experience designing and scaling complex cloud platforms in hybrid cloud infrastructures.
- Deep expertise in AWS services, including EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Bedrock, VPC, IAM, and others.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, compliance frameworks, and best practices.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
- Solid experience with serverless architectures, container orchestration, and microservices design.
- Familiarity with cloud-native databases and data analytics platforms such as Amazon Aurora, Redshift, and Athena.
- Knowledge of real-time streaming platforms like Amazon Kinesis and Apache Kafka.
- Exposure to AI/ML platforms such as Amazon SageMaker and experience designing AI-integrated applications.
- Strong grasp of cloud cost management, performance optimization, and operational excellence.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills, with a proven ability to drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Experience collaborating with engineers and platform teams to deliver fully automated CI/CD-based solutions.
