The opportunity:
The Purchasing Manager will be reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Management and centered at our Copenhagen office.
As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for managing a central purchasing team all situated in Copenhagen, as well as developing purchasers globally within the organization.
You and your team are responsible for managing the full order-to-pay process. Ensuring seamless cooperation with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to secure timely deliveries based on forecasted demand.
The primary tasks:
- Lead the central team and develop a global governance structure.
- Ensure orders are placed based on input from Sales & Operational Planning and ensure timely deliveries from suppliers to support daily operations.
- Maintain continuous alignment, follow up on KPIs & manage relationships with OEMs and suppliers.
- Own, develop, harmonize and optimize the global purchasing processes.
- Track and report on KPIs such as vendor delivery performance and spend control.
- Provide relevant instructions, training, and ensure compliance within the global purchasing team
Qualifications:
We are seeking a Purchasing Manager who can identify with the description below:
- Extensive work experience in purchasing or other supply chain-related positions and educational background in Supply Chain or related areas.
- Have 3-5 year of experiences as a manager.
- Solid leadership experience with direct report and in a matrix organization.
- Strong operational purchasing performance providing cost-effective, high-quality purchasing.
- Extensive experiences with creating and maintaining a governance structure that ensures a successful supplier relationship management.
- Aviation background is an advantage but not a requirement.
Skills and Attributes:
- Able to work autonomously while building strong relationships and collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Successfully drive changes through motivation and trust-based management.
- Highly organized and with a focus on driving operational efficiency while ensuring quality and accuracy in the process.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for interpreting data and generating actionable insights to drive strategic decisions.
- Fluent in English both verbally and written.
